Ingredients

  • 2 cups prepared eggnog
  • 12 slices stale bread, thick
  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/1 teaspoon nutmeg, freshly grated (optional)

How To Make eggnog french toast

  • Step 1
    Pour eggnog into a shallow bowl and dip the bread slices into the eggnog, turning to coat both sides.
  • Step 2
    Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Step 3
    Add 2-3 slices of bread.
  • Step 4
    Fry until golden.
  • Step 5
    Repeat with remaining bread.
  • Step 6
    Serve with maple syrup.
