easy maple sausage popovers

I don't care for sausage, but actually love this recipe. You do not have to do it using maple syrup. I have also done it using hot/spicy sausage which my husband really likes (I'm not in to spicy stuff though!)

Ingredients
- 1 package ground sausage
- 1 package cream cheese
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 can refrigerated crescent rolls
- 1 - egg white and a dash of poppy seeds (optional)
How To Make easy maple sausage popovers

Step 1Brown and drain the sausage.

Step 2Add the maple syrup and cream cheese. Mix until cheese is soft and well integrated with the sausage.

Step 3Open the crescent rolls and spoon the sausage mixture into the center of each roll. Close up / pinch all ends to make a rounded pouch.

Step 4Brush top with egg white and sprinkle with poppy seeds. Bake at 350 for about 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
