Ingredients

  • 6 cups corn flakes or frosted flakes
  • 1 cup dried cranberries, blueberries cherries or raisins
  • 1 cup walnuts, pecans or almonds, chopped
  • 3/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs, beaten

How To Make crunchy cornflake bars

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Line 13" x 9" baking pan with foil; coat with cooking spray.
  • Step 2
    In a large bowl, mix together the cornflakes, fruit, nuts; reserve.
  • Step 3
    In a microwave-safe bowl, mix together honey, brown sugar, butter, zest & extract. Microwave on high in 15 second intervals until sugar is dissolved; cool.
  • Step 4
    Stir in eggs. Stir in honey mixture into cereal mixture until evenly coated. Spread in pan.
  • Step 5
    Bake 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on rack & cut into bars.
