Ingredients
- 2 - eggs, beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 6 slices texas toast or thickly sliced bread
- 1 cup corn flake crumbs
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- CINNAMON SYRUP
- 1 1/3 cups sugar
- 1/3 cup water
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 5 ounces can evaporated milk
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2/3 cup white corn syrup
How To Make crumb-topped baked french toast

Step 1Combine eggs, milk, salt and vanilla; mix well.

Step 2Dip bread slices into egg mixture; coat both sides with crumbs.

Step 3Place on well-greased cookie sheet.

Step 4Drizzle melted butter over crumb coated bread.

Step 5Bake at 450 for 10 minutes.

Step 6To make syrup, combine sugar, water, corn syrup and cinnamon in saucepan.

Step 7Bring to boil; cook 2 minutes.

Step 8Remove from heat; add milk, flavoring and bacon or sausage as desired.
