Ingredients
- 3 cups water
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 teaspoon salt
- - oil for frying
How To Make cornmeal mush

Step 1Stir cornmeal and salt into water in a saucepan over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil.

Step 2Lower heat and simmer for 20 minutes.

Step 3Pour into loaf pan and chill at least 4 hrs or overnight.

Step 4Unmold and cut into 1/4 inch slices.

Step 5Heat oil in skillet and fry slices until they are golden brown and have crispy edges. Flip to finish both sides.

Step 6Cook time includes cooling time. Can be served sweet with syrup or savory with ketchup!
