Ingredients

  • - 2 cups baking mix, such as bisquick
  • - 1 1/2 cups water
  • - 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • - 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • - 2 tbsp. butter
  • - 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • - 8 cinnamon bread slices
  • - 2 bananas, sliced
  • - fresh strawberries
  • - 1/4 cup chopped pecans, toasted
  • - syrup

How To Make cinnamon french toast with fruit and pecans

  • Step 1
    Whisk together baking ix, 1 1/2 cups water, vanilla and cinnamon. Melt 1/2 Tbsp. butter in 1/2 Tbsp. oil in large skillet over medium heat. Dip 2 bread slices in batter and put in skillet. Cook 2 to 3 minutes on each side or til golden. Repeat procedure with remaining butter, oil, batter and bread slices.
  • Step 2
    Top French toast with fruit and pecans. Serve with your favorite syrup. Makes 4 servings.
