Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons cream cheese, low-fat, softened
  • 2 cups strawberries, fresh, sliced
  • 2 - whole wheat pitas
  • 4 sprigs fresh mint

  • Step 1
    Cut pita bread in half.
  • Step 2
    Gently open pocket
  • Step 3
    Combine cream cheese with 1/2 cup of the strawberries, mashing the berries as you mix.
  • Step 4
    Spread a quarter of mixture inside each half of the pitas.
  • Step 5
    Fill each half pita with remaining strawberries
  • Step 6
    Heat a cast iron pan or skillet to warm.
  • Step 7
    Spray sandwich with nonstick spray and grill both sides until golden
  • Step 8
    Garnish with mint. Enjoy warm.
