cheese grits
I sometimes serve these with dinner, instead of a potato..family loves them...this is about the only way I like grits..

Ingredients
- 4 cups water
- 1 cup quick grits
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 stick butter or margarine..i use butter
- 1/2 pound grated sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 - eggs
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 cup cornflakes, i crush mine to consistency of bread crumbs
How To Make cheese grits

Step 1preheat oven to 350. Grease 9x9 casserole dish, and set aside

Step 2put grits into boiling water. and cook until thick; add butter and cheddar cheese. Cool. Add slightly beaten eggs. Place in casserole dish. Top with crushed cornflakes mixed with the parmesan cheese..Bake for 45 min..sometimes I add some chopped onions precooked also..

Step 3Makes a great side dish, for dinner, something different than potatoes..or is always great for breakfast.
