Ingredients
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 tablespoons corn syrup
- 12 slices bread, sandwich
- 6 large eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
How To Make caramel french toast

Step 1Combine sugar, butter and corn syrup in a small saucepan; cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring constantly.

Step 2Pour syrup mixture into a 13x9x2 inch baking dish.

Step 3Place 6 slices of bread on top of syrup mixture.

Step 4Top with remaining 6 slices of bread.

Step 5Combine eggs, milk, vanilla and salt, stirring until blended.

Step 6Pour egg mixture evenly over bread slices.

Step 7Cover and chill 8 hours.

Step 8Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes or until lightly browned.
