This is delicious on waffles and pancakes. Also can be served over ice cream. I recently had this on pancakes at a friend's house and just loved it so I asked for the recipe. It also freezes well.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla

Step 1In a large saucepan, bring buttermilk, sugars, and butter to a boil over medium heat. Remove from heat and whisk in soda and vanilla. It will bubble up a lot so be sure you use a large saucepan. As it cools, the bubbles will cease.

Step 2Pour over pancakes or waffles and enjoy!
