Ingredients For bruleed oats with lemon mascarpone

  • 1 c
    rolled oats
  • 1 1/2 c
    water
  • 1/2 c
    applesauce
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 2 Tbsp
    honey
  • 2 tsp
    lemon zest
  • 3 Tbsp
    mascarpone
  • 4 Tbsp
    granulated sugar

How To Make bruleed oats with lemon mascarpone

    Place the oats in a dry pan and place over medium heat, and toast for about 5 minutes.
  • 2
    Add the water, applesauce, and salt. Cook another 5 minutes until thickened. Stir in the honey.

    Mix the lemon zest with the mascarpone and stir into the oat mixture.
  • 4
    Place in two bowls and place 2 Tbsp sugar on the top of each bowl of oats and torch them with a kitchen torch until browned.
