1 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
cinnamon, ground
1/4 tsp
nutmeg, ground
1/2 c
dried fruit bits
3/4 c
1 c
1/2 c
1 Tbsp
buttermilk powder

How to Make Breakfast Bars


  • 1Preheat oven to 350.
  • 2Spray 13x9" baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  • 3Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  • 4Stir in dried fruit.
  • 5Beat egg and sugar on high speed 1 minute.
  • 6Stir in applesauce.
  • 7Alternately beat in flour and buttermilk.
  • 8Stir in 1-1/2 cups of cereal.
  • 9Pour batter into pan.
  • 10Sprinkle top with remaining cereal.
  • 11Bake 15 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  • 12Cool on wire rack.
