Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 - egg yolks, beaten (reserve whites)
- 3/4 cup sour cream
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup shortening, melted and cooled
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted and cooled
- 3 - egg whites, stiffly beaten
How To Make belgian waffles

Step 1Whisk dry ingredients together. Combine egg yolks, sour cream and buttermilk, and add to dry ingredients alternately with cooled shortening and butter.

Step 2Stir gently until no longer lumpy. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Cook in waffle iron.
