Ingredients
- 3 cups old fashioned oats (not quick cooking)
- 1 cup brown sugar (if you're worried about sugar intake, use the brown sugar/splenda blend)
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spices
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup dried fruit of choice such as raisins, cranberries, chopped dates, etc.
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 1/2 cup applesauce (cinnamon applesauce is especially good)
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 - eggs
How To Make baked oatmeal

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2Spray a 9x9 baking pan with non-stick cooking spray. Thoroughly mix all of the dry ingredients in a large bowl. Pour into the prepared baking dish.

Step 3Whisk all of the wet ingredients together until thoroughly blended. Pour over the dry ingredients in the baking pan and incorporate them well. Bake for 35-40 minutes until the edges are very brown. Serve in a bowl with milk, if desired.

Step 4This recipe can be made without the fruit OR using chocolate and/or peanut butter chips.
