3 c
old fashioned oats (not quick cooking)
1 c
brown sugar (if you're worried about sugar intake, use the brown sugar/splenda blend)
2 tsp
baking powder
1 tsp
1/2 tsp
pumpkin pie spices
1/2 tsp
1/4 c
dried fruit of choice such as raisins, cranberries, chopped dates, etc.
1 1/4 c
1/2 c
applesauce (cinnamon applesauce is especially good)
2 tsp

How to Make Baked Oatmeal


  • 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2Spray a 9x9 baking pan with non-stick cooking spray. Thoroughly mix all of the dry ingredients in a large bowl. Pour into the prepared baking dish.
  • 3Whisk all of the wet ingredients together until thoroughly blended. Pour over the dry ingredients in the baking pan and incorporate them well.

    Bake for 35-40 minutes until the edges are very brown. Serve in a bowl with milk, if desired.
  • 4This recipe can be made without the fruit OR using chocolate and/or peanut butter chips.
