Bacon onion and cheese pie
5 slicebacon, fried and chopped
2 largeyellow onions, chopped
3/4 cricotta cheese
3/4 cgruyere cheese
1/4 cparmesan cheese
1frozen pie shell or your own pie crust
How to Make Bacon onion and cheese pie
- Preheat oven to 350. Fry bacon, remove and pat with paper towels and leave fat in the pan.
- Add onions to the pan and brown. Sprinkle with salt. Once they are browned , let them cool.
- Mix ricotta, egg yolk and Gruyere in a separate dish. Spread into the pie shell. Scrap onions on top of that, ( even the little brown bits) than shake Parmesan on top. Sprinkle with pepper.
- Spread bacon evenly on top of that and bake until the pie shell has baked, approx. 30 - 40 minutes depending on your oven. ( when the pie shell has baked a golden brown, that's when I take it out)
