This is a great light breakfast. Tasty apple, with sharp cheddar cheese, and smoky bacon. The greens give it an earthy bite.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices bacon
  • 4 slices baguette
  • 1 sweet apple of choice
  • 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup collard greens, ribs removed and leaves sliced
  • salt

How To Make apple, cheddar, and bacon crostini

  • Step 1
    Cook the bacon in a large skillet. Remove the bacon from the pan and drain on paper towels.
  • Step 2
    Add the greens to the bacon fat and season with salt. Cook until wilted.
  • Step 3
    Toast the baguettes in a toaster or oven. Slice the apple on a mandolin.
  • Step 4
    Place the slices of cheese on the bread. Top the cheese with the bacon
  • Step 5
    Then add sliced apple and then greens.
