Super sweet & just enough spicy... it's turned non-bacon eaters into enjoyers. It's soooo good.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, fresh ground
  • 1 pound bacon

How To Make sweet-n-spicy bacon

  • Step 1
    Set oven to 400º.
  • Step 2
    Mix sugar & peppers. Toss bacon thoroughly to coat.
  • Step 3
    Line a jelly roll pan w/heavy duty foil. Place a cooling rack over the foil & lay the bacon on the rack, being careful not to overlap the bacon (this will slow cooking).
  • Step 4
    Place pan in oven, even if it's not fully heated yet. Bake at least 15 minutes or until desired doneness. I cook mine just over 20 minutes.
  • Step 5
    NOTES: ** Cooling rack optional-bacon can go directly on the foil. Personally, I prefer the rack. ** I use thin sliced bacon... if using thick bacon add at least 5-6 minutes or so to cooking time. ** Vary the spices to suit your tastes. E N J O Y
