sausage rollups
(1 RATING)
One of many great recipes my dear Mom shared with her daughters! These are served with mustard or heated for breakfast with maple syrup...yum.

How To Make sausage rollups
-
Step 1Make a double batch of Bisquick biscuits per directions on box. Flour a board and knead biscuits with additional flour. Roll out to 8X10 size making sure that you have plenty of flour under biscuit mix.
-
Step 2Tear 2 sheets of wax paper the same size as rolled biscuits. Take 1 pound of breakfast sausage of your choice (I use Jimmy Dean hot) and roll between 2 sheets until the same size as biscuit dough. Note: works best if you coat with cooking spray. Remove top sheet of wax paper and place on top of dough. Remove other piece of wax paper. Roll up to make long spiral log. Freeze for 30 minutes (or longer if you will use at a later date). Cut in 12 slices placing on large cookie sheet. Bake @350 for 20 - 25 minutes.
