sausage quiche
I love to make dishes ahead and freeze them for holiday company. I made 3 quiches for Christmas breakfast this year, and this one was everyone's favorite. I like to use Jimmy Dean spicy sausage, but you could also use regular or Italian sausage as well.

Ingredients
- 8 ounces sausage, browned
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 4 - eggs, beaten
- 1 cup half and half
- 1/2 teaspoon tabasco
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 - 9-inch pie crust shell (fresh or frozen)
How To Make sausage quiche

Step 1In a medium bowl, mix together all ingredients except crust.

Step 2If freezing ahead, freeze in a rigid container or freezer bag.

Step 3If frozen, thaw in refrigerator overnight.

Step 4Parbake crust at 375° for 10 minutes.

Step 5Pour quiche mixture into crust.

Step 6Bake at 375° for 45 minutes, or until knife inserted in middle comes out clean.

Step 7Let stand 5 minutes before cutting.
