    country cured ham 1/4" thick
  • 1/2 c
    water

How to Make Red-Eye Gravy

Step-by-Step

  1. Cook ham very slow on medium heat until brown and done. Add 1/2 cup water to ham and let simmer for about 15 minutes. Remove ham and pour gravy over grits or dip biscuits in gravy.
