this is a delicious way to have bacon an it comes from my favorite cookbook thats of course not from me but its a good one 5 ingrediant fix is the name of the cookbook wally

Ingredients

  • 1 pound thick-sliced bacon
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • - finely ground black pepper to taste

How To Make maple candied bacon

  • Step 1
    line a rimmed baking sheet with heavy foil. Place a baking rack over the lined sheet pan an arrange bacon slices across the rack next to each other, not overlapping.
  • Step 2
    In a small bowl, whisk maple syrup an mustard mix well. generously spoon over the top of bacon, an bake 12 to 15 min at 400degrees f. turn the bacon over an baste with the syrup mixture again an additional 5 to 10 min, or until the bacon has reached desired crispness.
  • Step 3
    carefully remove the sheet pan from oven. at this time sprinkle with pepper to desired taste then let the bacon rest at least 5 min then serve ummm umy
