Ingredients
- - 1 lb breakfast sausage
- - canola oil
- - 3 1/2 c milk
- - 1/4 c flour
- - 1/2 t. garlic powder
- - 1/2 t onion powder
- - black pepper
- - 1/4 t. ground sage
- - salt
- - 1/4 t. crushed red pepper flakes
- - one dozen large eggs,well beaten
- - 6 english muffins,split,and toasted
How To Make ed's breakfast sandwich

Step 1Combine spices.Sprinkle half the spices into the sausage,form into 12 equal patties;(about 1/4 inch thick). Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1-2 teaspoon oil to pan; swirl to coat. Add patties; cook 2 minutes on each side or until done. Transfer patties to a plate. Leave drippings in pan. Combine flour and remaining spices , stirring with a whisk until smooth. Add seasoned flour & milk to pan; bring to a boil, scraping pan to loosen browned bits. Cook until thick and bubbly. Remove from heat. Poach eggs. Divide eggs evenly over bottom halves of muffins. Top each with 3 tablespoons gravy. Place a sausage patty and top half of muffin on each sandwich.
