I'm a little picky about my breakfast sausage. I don't like it too spicy or with any unrecognizable flavors so I decided to start seasoning my own!

Ingredients
- 1 pound unseasoned ground sausage
- 1 teaspoon dried sage
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon ground thyme
- 1 pinch red pepper flakes (optional)
How To Make diy breakfast sausage

Step 1In a smallish mixing bowl, combine the sage, salt, pepper, thyme, and crushed red pepper.

Step 2Mix very throughly.

Step 3Form into patties and pan fry for about five minutes on each side or cook and crumble for other dishes such as sausage gravy.
