- 12 slices canadian bacon
- 3 tablespoons butter, unsalted
- 8 1/4 ounces can pineapple rings, drained
- 12 ounces package cornbread mix
- - ingredients for preparing cornbread as listed on package
- - maple syrup
How To Make canadian bacon upside down cake

Step 1In a 10 inch cast iron skillet melt butter over low heat. Remove from heat.

Step 2Drain pineapple slices on paper towels. Arrange 1 ring in center of skillet. Arrange the remaining pineapple around the edge.

Step 3Layer bacon over pineapple slices, overlapping if necessary.

Step 4Prepare cornbread mix and spoon over bacon and pineapple.

Step 5Cover and cook over medium heat 15-18 minutes or until test done.

Step 6Cut into wedges. Serve warm with maple syrup.
