How to Make Brown Sugared Bacon
- Take a sheet pan and spray it with non-cooking spray very well so bacon will not stick. This bacon will get sticky in spots. Lay your bacon lengh-wise side by side. Melt some butter and brush the bacon very, very lightly with butter (oh so lightly) then sprinkly with brown sugar all over each piece.
Put into a pre-heated 400 degree F. oven and watch it turn deliciously golden brown. It will take approximately 15 to 20 minutes but after about 12 minutes, start to watch it as ovens may vary. It will get very beautiful and crispy. The bacon will have a sweetness and goldeness that can not be matched and it goes perfectly with biscuits, gravy, pancakes, waffles, eggs, etc. You will get raves. Be careful not to put too much sugar or it will get sticky and too much butter will cause greasiness. It is a select amount on each of these that makes this perfect. You will find the right amount for you. Play with this before you serve it to guests. However, you will find this is a restaurant quality meal that you will serve over and over again. I have.
