We have this served to us at work sometimes on a biscuit and it is to die for!!!

prep time 5 Min
cook time 15 Min
method ---
yield 6 serving(s)

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper, optional
  • 1/2 pound thick-cut bacon (about 8 slices)

How To Make brown sugar bacon

  • Step 1
375 degree oven. Mix brown sugar, cayenne pepper (is using), and black pepper together in a medium bowl. Add bacon and toss. Line a baking sheet with a wire rack and lay bacon on the rack. Pat any remaining spice mixture on the bacon. Put the baking sheet on the top rack of the oven and bake until crisp, about 15 minutes. Remove from the oven to a serving dish and let cool slightly before serving. Can be served alone or on a biscuit or croissant. They are delish!!! If using the thick cut peppered bacon, which is real good, omit the black pepper.
