No toaster is used at all here, but this approach to "toaster strudel" tastes far better than the grocery store brands. Inspired by an article in this month's "Food Network Magazine," I fixed this one this morning with scrambled eggs. Quick, warm and delicious.

Ingredients

2 Tbsp
strawberry - fig preserves
2 Tbsp
athena greek yogurt - honey & strawberry
2
fresh, ripe strawberries, chopped fine
1
pillsbury refrigerated pie crust
1/2 c
confectioners' sugar
1 1/2 tsp
milk

Step-By-Step

1Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
2Mix first 3 ingredients together in small bowl.
3Cut 2 rectangles (about 3 1/2" x 5" each) out of the pie crust, and discard the remainder.
4Spoon the strawberry mixture onto one of the rectangles of dough, careful to spread short of the edges. Place the other rectangle on top and use a fork to seal all 4 sides.
5Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown. Cool for 5 minutes, cut and serve.
6If you like, mix the confectioners' sugar and milk to make icing to drizzle on top.
