I found this recipe in the Allrecipes magazine and knew I had to make it.
I just love anything strawberry.

fresh strawberries/sliced

baking soda
1 tsp

1 c
vegetable oil
1 c
chopped pecans

How to Make Strawberry Bread


  • 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter and flour two, 9 x 5 loaf pans.
  • 2Put strawberries in bowl and sprinkle with one teaspoon sugar. Toss to coat.
  • 3Stir together flour, remaining sugar, baking soda, cinnamon and salt in a large bowl.
    Whisk eggs in another bowl
  • 4Then stir in oil and pour over strawberries. Fold strawberry mixture into flour mixture until dry ingredients are just moistened. Fold in pecans.
  • 5Divide batter between prepared pans, about 3 cups per pan.
  • 6Bake until toothpicks inserted in center, comes out clean, 45 to 55 minutes.
  • 7Let cool in pans, on wire rack for 10 minutes.Remove loves from pan and let cool completely, about 1 hour.
