    apples, peeled and cored - sliced 1/4" thick
  • 1/4 c
  • 1/4 c

  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • ·
    pinch of salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    powdered sugar
  • ·
    oil for frying

How to Make Dutch Apple Rings


  1. Peel and core apples and slice into rings. Apple rings should be sliced 1/4 inch thick.
  2. Mix together sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over apples.
  3. Mix together flour, milk, egg, baking powder and salt - adding additional milk if too thick.
  4. Dredge apple rings in batter coating both sides and fry in a cast iron skillet -turning when first side is golden brown. Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
