Ingredients
- 1 cup skim milk
- 1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1/2 - granny smith apple, peeled and cut into 1/2" pieces
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons almonds, slivered
How To Make apple-cinnamon oatmeal

Step 1In a small saucepan heat the milk, while stirring, over medium heat until it just begins to boil.

Step 2Stir in the oats, apple pieces, brown sugar and cinnamon. Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, until the oats are cooked, about 7 minutes.

Step 3Stir in the slivered almonds and turn off the heat. Let the oatmeal stand for 10 minutes, or until its thick.
