1/2 cold-fashioned rolled oats

1/2granny smith apple, peeled and cut into 1/2" pieces

1 Tbspbrown sugar

1/4 tspcinnamon

2 Tbspalmonds, slivered
How To Make apple-cinnamon oatmeal

1In a small saucepan heat the milk, while stirring, over medium heat until it just begins to boil.

2Stir in the oats, apple pieces, brown sugar and cinnamon. Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, until the oats are cooked, about 7 minutes.

3Stir in the slivered almonds and turn off the heat. Let the oatmeal stand for 10 minutes, or until its thick.
