This is an amazing breakfast dish enjoyed with coffee or served as a desert with ice cream. Served warm or cold it will not disappoint!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 peeled, diced, divided apple
  • 1 10 ounces canned flaky biscuit
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 large egg
  • GLAZE
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon grated orange rind

How To Make apple biscuits

  • Step 1
    Butter a 9 inch cake pan, sides and bottom generously.
  • Step 2
    In a small separate bowl combine butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, corn syrup and egg. Mix until sugar is partially dissolved.
  • Step 3
    Arrange apples on bottom of butter pan. Pour sugar mixture over apples.
  • Step 4
    Separate 1 can of flaky biscuits into 10 biscuits, cutting each into 4 pieces. Arrange over apple mixture point sides up.
  • Step 5
    Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes depending on oven until deep golden brown. Cool 5 minutes. Mix glaze and drizzle over the biscuits while warm. Store leftovers covered in refrigerator.
