Not sure where I found this recipe, but it's a quick-fix for a lazy weekend breakfast or lunch.

chili (canned or homemade), heated
butter

eggs, fried or poached
4 slice
texas toast
shredded cheese, optional

How to Make Texas Toast, Chili and Eggs

Step-by-Step

  • 1Heat chili; keep eggs warm.
  • 2Spread bread slices with butter.
  • 3Fry or grill on both sides until golden brown.
  • 4To serve, spoon chili over bread.
  • 5Place 2 eggs on each slice.
