Super Simple Egg Custard

I couldn't find my mother's recipe, and i was running low on milk, so i created this one that is so simple, and easy on the pocket book! good for a sweet breakfast treat, or dessert if you please! serve either cold or warm from the oven!

sweetened condensed milk
3 c
milk, i use 2%
1 tsp
vanilla extract
sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg, to taste


1crack eggs into large bowl and beat with mixer well. whites should be thoroughly blended in.
2add one full can of sweetened condensed milk and mix well again.
3add in vanilla and regular milk, mix thoroughly again.
4spray pans with pam lightly, and place in a pan of water. (water bath)
5pour in custard mix to no more than 3/4 full.
6sprinkle lightly with either cinnamon or nutmeg to taste.
7place in oven at 350 degrees for approximately 45 minutes. check doneness with a knife. when an inserted knife comes out of the center of the custard clean, it is done.
