I love french toast and have tried several varieties to making this sweet and simple delicious breakast.
This one is my favorite!

    loaf french bread- cut into 2
  • 4
    eggs- beaten
  • 1/2 c
    heavy cream
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 8 oz
    softened cream cheese
  • 1 tsp
  • 1/4 c
    powdered sugar
  • 1/4 c
    chopped pecans

How to Make Stuffed French Toast


  1. In shallow bowl, beat together eggs, cinnamon, sugar, and cream. Set aside.

    In separate bowl, beat cream cheese, honey, and sugar. Stir in pecans(opt).
  2. Cut a pocket approx 1 1/2" deep into each slice of bread. Stuff 1TBS of cream cheese filling into center of each slice.

    Coat sides of bread with egg mixture and fry in hot oiled skillet until golden brown on both sides.
  3. Top each slice with powered sugar and/or fresh fruit.
    Drizzle with honey.
