Ingredients
- 2 - eggs cooked how ever you like
- 2 slices bacon, ham, sausage
- 1 - english muffins
- 2 - tomato slices
- 1 teaspoon butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon flour
- 1/2 cup milk or cream
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese or what you have on hand
How To Make open faced cheesy egg sandwich
-
Step 1make basic white sauce; melt butter add flour and stir till smooth, add milk stir add cheese stir til smooth and thick. This amount will be enough for 2-3 sandwiches
-
Step 2cook bacon, ham or sausage and set aside. I used leftovers of bacon.
-
Step 3cook eggs anyway you want. While eggs are cooking split english muffin and toast. Butter muffins on each muffin add 1 slice of tomato,1 egg, 1/2 cheese sauce and top with bacon.
-
Step 4I serve open face. If using ham or sausage, place meat ontop of egg then add cheese sauce. This recipe is great to customize to any leftovers you have
