I was taught how to make this by a 9 year old boy (J.R.) who lived in our neighborhood and played with my son. J.R. liked to put a little maple syrup on his. You can also grill the holes you tear out of the bread in the pan while egg is cooking and serve on the side.

Ingredients
- 1 slice white bread
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 teaspoon butter
- 1/2 teaspoon mayonnaise
- - maple syrup as desired
How To Make hole in the wall

Step 1Heat non stick skillet

Step 2Tear a circle out of the center of bread

Step 3Spread a very, very thin layer of mayo to both sides of bread

Step 4Place the bread in the skillet; add a very small amount of butter in the hole

Step 5Crack the egg into the hole in the bread.

Step 6Cook egg till set and bread is browned turn over and brown the other side and egg is done to your desire

Step 7Salt and pepper to taste maybe a little maple syrup too. Enjoy!
