I received this recipe from my Father inlaw who brought it back from Germany.Everybody I have cooked this for has loved it.

Ingredients For hills and dales / baked german pancakes

  • 9 lg
    eggs
  • 1 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 c
    milk, whole or 2 %
  • 3/4 tsp
    salt
  • 8 Tbsp
    butter, unsalted

How To Make hills and dales / baked german pancakes

    Preheat oven to 425 degrees
  • 2
    Melt butter in a 9"x 13" baking pan.

    While butter is melting, whip eggs until thick.
  • 4
    Add milk flour and salt to eggs.
  • 5
    When butter is melted pour batter into pan, and bake for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.

    Serve with your choice of fruit preserves, maple syrup, or powdered sugar.
