  • 4 cups rich chicken stock, homemade is the best or add chicken bouillion to store bought
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 thick sourdough or any kind of crusty bread
  • butter

How To Make fried egg on toast in broth

  • Step 1
    Place the chicken stock in a saucepan and heat over medium heat until hot.
  • Step 2
    Toast the bread and spread butter on one side.
  • Step 3
    Add butter to a frying pan and fry the eggs, turning once, keeping the yolk runny.
  • Step 4
    Place the bread in the middle of a wide bowl. Top with the fried egg.
  • Step 5
    Pour the hot broth around the bread.
