This was my Mother-in-Laws Easter Breakfast made with the easter eggs that the kids hunted down. The dye would bleed through and color the eggs. This made the dish colorful. Miss ya Mom...we have carried on the tradition.

    hard-cooked eggs, peeled
  • 1/4 c
  • 1/2 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 3 c
  • 6 slice
    slices bread, toasted
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Creamed Eggs


  1. peel the eggs and chop them. Leave some good-sized egg chunks intact.
  2. Melt the butter in a skillet.
  3. Stir in the flour. Cook over medium heat for several minutes, stirring constantly.
  4. Add the milk gradually. Cook until thickened (stirring constantly).
  5. Add the eggs and add salt and pepper.
  6. Serve the creamed eggs on top of the toast.
