Breakfast In A Loaf
Turkey , sausage, bacon, whatever you prefer.
Make sure you get a good crusty bread..
1round loaf bread (8 to 9 inch diameter)
4 ozsliced ham
1/2red bell pepper, thinly sliced into rings
1/2 cshredded monterey jack cheese
1/2 cshredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cpitted, sliced ripe olives
1 largeripe tomato, sliced
8 ozmushrooms,sliced and cooked
1 smallsweet onion, sliced thin
8eggs, scrambled with salt and pepper
How to Make Breakfast In A Loaf
- Prepare scramble eggs, Remove from heat; cover to keep warm.
Saute onion just until clear.
- Preheat oven to 350 degree. Cut 2-inch slice from top of loaf; set aside for lid.
Remove soft interior of loaf, leaving a 1-inch-thick wall and bottom.
- Place ham on bottom of loaf. Top with bell pepper rings,and onion; sprinkle with half of cheeses.
Layer scrambled eggs, olives and tomato over cheeses.
Top with remaining cheeses and mushrooms.
- Place lid on loaf. Wrap in foil. Place on baking sheet.
Bake about 30 minutes or until heated through.
Cut into 8 wedges. Spread condiments of your choosing.
