I love the sausage burritos from McDonald's, so I tried to adapt my own. My husband likes me to put hot sauce on his, but I like mine without.

How to Make Breakfast Burrito

Step-by-Step

  • 1In a large skillet place each tortilla on medium heat for about 10-15 seconds. Remove and cover. To the pan add a small pat of butter and add your onions and peppers, cook until soft and remove, set aside.
  • 2In the same pan add 4 tablespoons of butter and scramble the eggs, adding salt and pepper to taste. Meanwhile, place the sausages in the microwave and cook according to package directions, usually about a minute. When done chop the sausages into bite size pieces. Add sausage, peppers and onions to the scrambled eggs, stir.
  • 3Start rolling your burritos. Take one tortilla, put hot sauce on if you chose, place 1 slice of the cheese down, and a scoop of the scrambled egg mixture. Fold the horizontal sides in, and take one end and roll up. place flap side down back in the skillet for just a few seconds if you want to seal it even more. Enjoy!
