Baked Western Omelet

This was so easy to make and very tasty. I served this for brunch today. You can vary the ingredients to your liking. This is my version of a baked western omelet.

  • 12
  • 1 c
    2% milk
  • 1 c
    sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1
    package of shredded hash brown potatoes, from the dairy section
  • 1 c
    chopped onions
  • 1 c
    chopped green pepper
  • 1 c
    diced ham
  • ·
    salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp
    dried dill weed

How to Make Baked Western Omelet


  1. Break eggs into a large bowl and lightly beat, add milk and beat again.
  2. Saute onions and green pepper in olive oil until tender.
  3. Add hash browns, ham, onions, peppers, cheese, salt, pepper and dill weed.
  4. Mix all ingredients together and pour into a prepared 9x13 casserole dish.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes or until a knife comes out clean when put into the center of the dish.

    If it starts to brown before it is done, cover lightly with foil.
