Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 - eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1.5 cups swiss chees, shredded
  • 1 cup almonds, sliced
  • 1 - pie shell, baked

How To Make almond quiche

  • Step 1
    Saute onion in butter until tender.
  • Step 2
    In small bowl, beat together the eggs, both milks, flour and pepper until lightly frothy.
  • Step 3
    Stir in the cooked onion, cheese and toasted sliced almonds until well mixed.
  • Step 4
    Pour the mixture into a still hot baked pie shell.
  • Step 5
    Bake at 325 for about 45 minutes.
  • Step 6
    When done, a knife inserted in the middle will come out clean.
  • Step 7
    Let stand for 10 minutes, slice and serve.
