  • 1 sm
apple, cored peeled and cubed small
  • 1 tsp
    allspice, ground
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon, ground
  • 1 1/2 c
    buttermilk pancake mix
  • 1/4 c
    water, more if needed

How To Make spiced apple pancakes

  • 1
Blend pancake mix and enough water in a medium bowl until fluffy. Add the cubed apples and all spices into the batter and mix well.
  • 2
In a medium cast iron skillet on medium heat place a 1/4 cup of batter. When the pancake bubbles flip it. You may need to adjust the heat. Make sure the pancake is cooked.
  • 3
When pancake is done, remove to a saucepan with lid and continue until all pancakes are completed. The apples soften a bit more when they are in the pan with a lid. Add a little butter, syrup, whip cream and some sausage patties. Enjoy! Should make 8 small or 4 medium cakes. The apples will still have a little bite to them.
