sour cream coffee cake
This recipe came from a 1961 cookbook belonging to my mother. I made this the other morning and when it was gone, we ate the crumbs off the plate.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- TOPPING
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup chopped nuts
How To Make sour cream coffee cake

Step 1Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat until fluffy.

Step 2Sift together flour, soda, and salt.

Step 3Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with sour cream and vanilla. Mix well.

Step 4Pour half of the batter into pan then sprinkle with half of the topping. Add remaining batter and cover top with the rest of the topping.

Step 5Bake at 325 for 40 minutes.
