This is baked but you could also brown slices on a griddle.

Ingredients

  • 3 - eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 dash salt
  • 9 slices french bread, sliced in 3/4 " slices
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

How To Make overnight baked french toast

  • Step 1
    Beat eggs, milk, sugar, maple syrup, vanilla and salt.
  • Step 2
    Place bread slices in large glass pan. Pour egg mixture over slices. Turn to coat.
  • Step 3
    Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
  • Step 4
    In the morning, pre-heat oven to 425 degrees.
  • Step 5
    Spread butter over bottom of large baking pan. (Can also use PAM.) Place bread slices on pan, not touching. Spray tops with PAM.
  • Step 6
    Bake for 15 minutes. Turn bread and continue baking until just golden brown, up to an additional 10 minutes.
  • Step 7
    Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with maple syrup.
