My hubby who usually can't get enough sugar does not like it on oatmeal, He came up with a recipe for savory oatmeal and after awhile I perfected this one I don't make it often but he asks for it about once a month.

Ingredients

1/2 lb
sausage
1/4 c
onion (diced)
1/4 c
celery (diced)
1/8 tsp
garlic salt
1/8 tsp
oregino
1/8 tsp
itailian seasoning

servings oatmeal
1 Tbsp
butter

How to Make Hubbys Favorite Oatmeal( Savory Oatmeal)

Step-by-Step

  • 1Make oatmeal according to directions on pkg set aside.
  • 2Brown sausage with onion and celery till sausage is done and veggies are soft.
  • 3Remove from heat and add to oatmeal add the other spices. Mix well.
  • 4In small saute pan melt butter.
  • 5Put oatmeal mixture in pan and cook till brown on both sides.
