    chicken broth
  • 1 c
    whipping cream
  • 1 tsp
  • 1/4 tsp
    black pepper, freshly ground
  • 2 c
    grits, quick cooking
  • 8 oz
    gouda cheese, grated
  • 1/2 c
  • 1/4 c
  • 2 tsp
    hot sauce

How to Make Gouda Grits


  1. Bring first 4 ingredients and 4 cups water to a boil in a Dutch oven over high heat; whisk in grits, reduce heat to medium-low, and simmer, stirring occasionally, 15 minutes or until thickened.
  2. Remove from heat, and stir in Gouda and remaining ingredients.
