I love to make french toast for breakfast. I like to serve it with maple syrup, butter and berries.

Ingredients

  • 3 - eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups milk or half and half
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 8 slices stale white or cinnamon bread
  • - berries (optional)

How To Make french toast

  • Step 1
    Beat 3 eggs with the 1 1/4 cups milk. Add the sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg, and salt in a large bowl.
  • Step 2
    Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium heat. Working in batches, submerge 8 slices of the bread in egg mixture.
  • Step 3
    Cook until golden brown on both sides, flipping once, about 5 minutes. Serve with maple syrup, butter and berries.
