Ingredients
- 3 - eggs
- 1 1/4 cups milk or half and half
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 8 slices stale white or cinnamon bread
- - berries (optional)
How To Make french toast

Step 1Beat 3 eggs with the 1 1/4 cups milk. Add the sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg, and salt in a large bowl.

Step 2Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium heat. Working in batches, submerge 8 slices of the bread in egg mixture.

Step 3Cook until golden brown on both sides, flipping once, about 5 minutes. Serve with maple syrup, butter and berries.
