Ingredients
- 1 - egg
- 1/4 cup non-dairy milk
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- pinch salt
- 2 slices whole-grain bread
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
How To Make east french toast
-
Step 1In a large, shallow bowl, whisk together egg and nondairy milk. Stir in a 1/4 tsp. vanilla and a pinch of salt. Dredge bread in the egg mixture, turning over several times to coat both sides.
-
Step 2Meanwhile, melt a tablespoon of coconut oil in a large skillet over medium heat. When the pan is hot, add the soaked bread slices and cook for 3-5 minutes, turning once halfway through, until the bread is cooked throughout.
-
Step 3Enjoy hot with non-hydrogenated margarine and/or real maple syrup on top. For more healthy and delicious recipes check out One Medical's free e-book
